Samaria Gorge hike

13 June 2018

We arose early and headed off to the Samaria Gorge at 7am. Our driver, Tasos, dropped us off at the trail head around 9:15am. We began our 10 mile hike at 9:45am and, as expected, finished in stages. Claire and Abby will proudly tell you that they were 30 minutes ahead of the young adults and, naturally, an hour and a half ahead of the 'rents. Age may have slowed us down a little, but we enjoyed the trail and the scenery, despite a few aches and pains. We took a ferry to Hora Sfakia, where Tasos collected our weary squad and returned us to Asi Gonia. We decided on delivery for dinner tonight--€37.50 for dinner for the entire group!
